Why Banner Advertising is Great Outdoors

The most cost-effective way of reaching customers? Reach your audience with outdoor banners and displays
Ah the great outdoors! There’s nothing quite like getting out of the house, especially as the days get longer and the sun starts to shine that little bit more.
More people heading out and about in the summer means that outdoor advertising really comes into its own, with studies showing that using banners to promote your business really is an effective way of getting the message across.
From a cost perspective, the prices are minimal when it comes to ordering PVC banners or any of the other advertising products available at HFE. From an exposure perspective, stationing your banners at the best possible spot means the world and his wife can see them.
As one wise sage commented, outdoor advertising reaches its audience as an element of the environment. The consumer doesn’t need to buy a particular newspaper, nor do they have to listen to the right radio station. They simply need to be outdoors and in the vicinity of your banner.
People go and make a cup of tea during the advertising breaks when watching Coronation Street or the latest Premier League match. However, if you’re stuck in traffic or walking your dog, then you’re likely to look around you at the environment and see what’s going on.
Similarly, an outdoor banner provides businesses with the opportunity to hammer the message home. A print advert might be glanced at while someone reads the newspaper, although it’s not as though that publication is going to be read several times over.
However, people travel on the same roads every day and a pub advertising a Sunday carvery can reel in customers who have seen their banners throughout the week. There’s nothing quite like planting a message in the mind of the consumer.
It’s no coincidence that big businesses use banner displays in and around their store to maximise profits and the length of time that customers spend every time.
For example, we happened to be at a service station on the M25 over the weekend and there was a big Starbucks Coffee pavement sign advertising the new Macchiato.
We had to admit that after driving for two hours solid on a warm day, the imagery and marketing message was a big incentive in our decision to purchase one of these drinks and we weren’t the only customers indulging either.
Another great reason for outdoor display advertising is that you can choose different places to market to the general public. A pub might want to target passing motorists with a banner in an elevated position while also making sure that pedestrians were also able to see what offers were available.
This flexible approach can be extended when you visit the HFE website, with a variety of banners available to suit any purpose. We are very competitive on price and cater for every type of business – we’ve seen it all since forming the company!
