My Role at HFE:
Managing Director – Main Duties include - Marketing, Business Management & Development, Website Maintenance, PPC and SEO, Equipment Maintenance & Repairs and helping wherever needed.
Brief professional background:
From School I trained as an Electrician, went on to achieve ONC & HNC in Engineering. I worked as Engineering Manager for Crestchic Ltd (a world leader in heavy power generation load test equipment). After13yrs at Crestchic I decided to go it alone and started out building and installing computers, I also brought a small vinyl cutting machine and began selling signs to a few local companies.. the rest is history..!
Hobbies out of work:
I’m a big fan of Professional Boxing my favourite boxer was Joe Calzaghe prior to his retirement, whom I’ve met and had a beer with! I also enjoy keeping fit, walking, cycling and outings with my wonderful wife and children. I’ve completed a skydiving course and done two skydives. I’m a keen DIYer and can modestly say, I can turn my hand to pretty much anything.! I've always had a love for motorbikes, over the years I’ve owned many including a Suzuki TL1000, Harley VR and currently a Triumph T120. I love adrenalin and whatever I do I give it my all..
Claims to fame:
I designed (at component level) many quality electrical circuits for Crestchic, one being a digital, programmable control system that has, and still is, being sold worldwide - this product contributes to Crestchic’s global success with its outstanding reliability. The late Managing Director, Jim Gould was so happy with this he named it the ‘KCS System’ (Karl’s Control System).
